Two queens. One in power. One in prison. It’s all in the execution.

Fiery, charismatic and adored, Mary Stuart has spent eighteen years imprisoned by Queen Elizabeth I, yet remains the greatest threat to England’s throne. Elizabeth is powerful, feared and painfully alone. Enemies, cousins and queens, each is the other’s greatest threat and only equal. As conspiracies gather momentum and loyalties fracture, Elizabeth faces an impossible choice: spare Mary and risk rebellion, or execute her and destroy the only woman who truly understands her.
